Thalassemia Awareness Seminar at Punjab Assembly — World Thalassemia Day

On World Thalassemia Day, Sundas Foundation organized an awareness seminar at the Punjab Assembly to highlight the urgent need for premarital screening, voluntary blood donation and government support for Thalassemia prevention.

Lawmakers, health department officials and patient families joined the foundation's leadership in calling for wider screening programs to reduce the incidence of Thalassemia Major in Pakistan — one of the highest in the world.

Speakers emphasized that with regular, safe transfusions and proper chelation therapy, children with Thalassemia can live full and productive lives — care that Sundas Foundation provides entirely free of cost.
